Welcome to the Christmas commodity trader
The aim of this game is to trade commodities on the Christmas commodities exchange to make as much money from 1st December until Christmas Day (25th).
You start with a pot of $10,000.00 and each trade (both buy and sell) will cost $10.00 in commission.
The commodity exchange is open from 8am till 4pm every day of December (until Christmas day) and you will receive prices every 15 minutes. However, in the game, every second will bring the next price to you, so you'll need to act quickly!
You will see your current holdings first (initially empty) followed by the 8 available commodities that you can trade. Each commodity will display the most recent 100 prices to give you an idea of past performance.
Come Christmas day, any commodities you hold will be sold at their current price (minus commission) and you'll see how you've done!
Additional notes
- All prices are generated every time the game loads, so no two games will play out the same.
- Prices are based off end-of-day prices for real stocks, but are adjusted slightly at random to give a realistic simulation of a stock market.
- This is just a game for fun – you can't win or lose any actual money
